On April 23, 2024, Abu Dhabi witnessed the triumph of the sailboats that claimed victory in the prestigious sixth historic Delma Festival long-distance race for 60-foot sailboats. This event, held last year, showcased unwavering support for heritage sports, especially in the realm of marine sports, under the wise leadership of the region. The dedication to preserving our ancestors' legacy was evident, with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, graciously sponsoring the annual festival.

The praise echoed throughout the community for the impeccable organization of the race in previous editions. Gratitude was extended to the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority for their relentless efforts in ensuring the race's organizational aspects were executed with precision and excellence. Al Mazrouei said, after announcing the start date of the historic Dalma Race: It is a new mission, and the crew is working with all seriousness and strength to achieve the coronation, and to put a new imprint on the race, which carries many connotations associated with Dalma Island, its high value, its precious title, and its valuable prizes. Al Mazrouei appreciated the interest, follow-up, and support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for the loader, which delivered the prize.
