Andersson Claims Pole Position at Zhengzhou Grand Prix as Team Abu Dhabi Gears Up to Improve Performance Tomorrow

China, Zhengzhou – October 11, 2025: Swedish driver Jonas Andersson, the three-time defending World Champion, claimed pole position at the UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Zhengzhou after a powerful performance that saw him record the fastest lap of the final qualifying session with a time of 43.95 seconds. He finished ahead of Finland’s Alec Weckström of Victory Team in second place, while Estonia’s Stefan Arand secured third with a time of 44.40 seconds.

Meanwhile, Team Abu Dhabi endured a challenging qualifying day, with Swedish driver Erik Stark finishing 11th in 46.29 seconds, and Emirati driver Mansoor Al Mansoori placing 17th in 48.95 seconds. The team is now reviewing setup adjustments in preparation for tomorrow’s races.

Two Sprint Races will take place today, Saturday — the first at 14:05 (China time) and the second at 14:45 (China time), corresponding to 10:05 and 10:45 (UAE time) respectively.
