Thursday, 11 December 2025: The Organizing Committee of the Al Yasat Festival 60ft Traditional Dhow Race has announced that the race will take place on Saturday, 13 December 2025, as part of the third edition of the Al Yasat Marine Festival.

The race will be held over a distance of 37 nautical miles, with the participation of 88 traditional dhows, making it one of the largest heritage dhow races in terms of the number of competitors. This reflects the strong turnout and the prestigious status the race enjoys.

The 60ft traditional dhow race is considered one of the festival’s flagship events, carrying significant cultural and historical value that highlights the depth of the United Arab Emirates’ maritime heritage, alongside the intense competition expected among captains and crews.

The Organizing Committee confirmed that preparations are ongoing to ensure the race is delivered in accordance with the highest organizational and technical standards, in line with the standing of the Al Yasat Festival as one of the UAE’s leading maritime heritage events.
