Team Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Powerboat Completes Preparations for Sharjah Finale

Sunday, 14 December 2025: Team Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Powerboat has completed an intensive two-day training program on the waters of the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, as part of its final preparations for the closing round of the UIM Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship, which will be hosted by the Emirate of Sharjah from 19 to 21 December.

The training sessions were conducted as part of a comprehensive preparation plan, with the team focusing on enhancing the technical and physical readiness of its drivers, in addition to testing boat setups and analyzing performance data in line with the requirements of the season-ending round, which represents the team’s final opportunity to conclude the season with a positive result.

The training featured the participation of the team’s star drivers, led by Swedish champion Erik Stark, alongside Mansoor Al Mansoori and Rashed Al Qemzi. The program included a variety of drills such as race-course simulations, start improvements, top-speed runs, and enhanced cornering control, in addition to physical and mental conditioning.

These preparations come after a challenging season for Team Abu Dhabi, during which the team was unable to achieve results reflecting its true potential. The campaign began with an incident in the opening round in Indonesia, followed by technical issues that affected performance and kept the team out of contention in subsequent rounds.

Through these intensive preparations, the team aims to turn the tables in the final round and compete strongly for the last-round title, seeking to finish the season in a manner befitting the name and stature of Team Abu Dhabi, one of the most prominent teams in the history of the Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship.

The team’s technical staff confirmed that the training program successfully achieved its objectives, highlighting improved readiness and technical stability ahead of the move to Sharjah, with strong optimism for delivering a competitive performance that reflects the team’s experience and its ability to return strongly in the 2026 season.
