Mohamed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Chairs the First Board Meeting of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club for 2026

Abu Dhabi – Wednesday, 1 April 2026 : Sheikh Mohamed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Nadi Abu Dhabi Lilriyadat Al Bahriya(Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club), chaired the first board meeting for the year 2026, held at the club’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Vice Chairman H.E. Majed Abdullah Al Mehairi, and board members H.E. Khalifa Abdullah Al Qubaisi, H.E. Mubarak Salem Al Ameri, Mr. Saif Saif Al Suwaidi, Dr. Mohamed Saif Al Kaabi, and Ms. Maryam Mohammed Balfaqeeh.
At the start of the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed bin Sultan bin Khalifa welcomed the board members and emphasized the importance of collaborative work and continuing the club’s developmental approach adopted in recent years. This approach has strengthened the club’s presence on the regional and international marine sports map. His Highness also stressed the need to translate the vision of the UAE leadership in supporting and elevating marine sports to match Abu Dhabi’s status as a global sports capital.
During the meeting, the board conducted an extensive review of the 2026 season agenda, which includes plans for organizing championships and marine sporting events across various disciplines, such as powerboat racing, jet ski competitions, and sailing events. The agenda also covers community-oriented initiatives aimed at promoting marine culture and encouraging wider public participation.
The board further discussed the club’s long-term strategy, focusing on enhancing marine infrastructure, improving organizational and technical standards, and expanding the hosting of international championships to solidify Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for marine sports. Plans to invest in national talent and develop programs to prepare a new generation of athletes to represent the UAE in global competitions were also reviewed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed bin Sultan bin Khalifa expressed his appreciation to the board members for their efforts and emphasized the importance of intensifying work in the upcoming phase to achieve the club’s objectives and continue its journey of accomplishments both locally and internationally.
