Abu Dhabi Modern Sailing Team Heads to Training Camp in Singapore

UAE – Friday, 10 April 2026: As part of its international preparation program and its strategic direction to strengthen the global presence of marine sports, the Abu Dhabi Modern Sailing Team, under the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, will travel to Singapore for an overseas training camp for the Optimist class from 10 to 17 April. The objective of the camp is to enhance technical performance levels and broaden the competitive experience of the sailors.

The training camp includes sailors Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Zayed Al Hosani, Hamad Al Mehairi, and Thiyab Al Mehairi, under the supervision of coach Alper Ahmed Tarhan, accompanied by team manager Khalifa Al Saadi. The program features a series of advanced technical and tactical sessions, in addition to exposure to various training schools, contributing to faster development and greater competitive efficiency.

This camp aligns with the club’s vision to prepare a generation of sailors capable of competing on the international stage by investing in high-quality overseas training programs and adopting global best training practices, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading hub for marine sports.
