Abu Dhabi Modern Sailing Team participates in a training camp in Spain for the ILCA 4 class

The Abu Dhabi Modern Sailing Team, part of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, is currently participating in an overseas training camp for the ILCA 4 class in the Spanish region of Torrevieja. The camp runs from April 12 to 23 as part of the team’s international preparation program aimed at developing sailors’ skills and enhancing their readiness for upcoming competitions.

The team delegation includes sailors Saif Ibrahim Mohammed Ali Al Zaabi, Abdullah Fahad Mishal Al Mehairi, Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Bahri, and Simon Hristov Hristov, along with coach Patrick Lotomisky and administrator Ahmed Al Marzooqi.

The training camp focuses on developing the technical and physical capabilities of the sailors, particularly those in the younger age group of 14 to 16 years old. It features an intensive training program designed to refine their skills and elevate performance levels, while taking advantage of the open-sea environment of the region, which provides an ideal setting for training and gaining competitive experience.

This camp aligns with the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club’s strategic vision to prepare a promising generation of sailors capable of representing the UAE and competing strongly in various international events.
