Abu Dhabi, UAE – 18 June 2026: Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club Academy champion, Simeon Hristov, achieved a remarkable milestone by topping the Gold Fleet in the ILCA4 class at the EurILCA Europa Cup 2026, which concluded in Riva del Garda, Italy. The event featured more than 640 sailors from 38 countries.

Hristov delivered an outstanding technical performance that secured his qualification into the Gold Fleet, which brings together the top-ranked sailors from the qualification stages. He continued his strong form in the final races, finishing first overall and outperforming leading competitors from multiple nations.

This achievement marks one of the most significant results for Emirati sailing on the European stage and reflects the success of the training and development programs implemented by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club Academy in preparing a new generation of athletes capable of competing at top international championships.

It also reinforces the Academy’s advanced position in talent development and skill enhancement, contributing to raising the UAE flag and strengthening its presence in global sporting events.
